DreamLand
Asia’s largest resort often referred to as “the Last Paradise in the Earth,” or “Morning of the World”, Bali has been recognized as the most preferred resort among Europeans and Americans.

Bali's population is only pegged at 3 million. It is one of the hundreds of islands consisting the Indonesia Archipelago. It is the world’s most popular and famous resort, located in the South Pacific Ocean. Bali, written as WARI in Sanskrit, which means a sacrificial offering, is itself a kind of gift from the Gods.

Flowery words about such a beautiful island are unlimited. Rice terraces and 3,000-meter high volcanoes that rise above the clouds and belch fire, thick forests, and beaches where the warm waves of Indian Ocean are bobbing up and down, these are just some of the charms of Bali.

The rural scenery spread at the foot of the holy Mt. Agun, unique culture and excellent arts, and the warm-hearted Bali people who love their Gods and respect all living things also comprise the attraction of this Island. From shopping, surfing, and fantastic and picturesque scenery, to the exotic foods, Bali has become famous as an exotic tourist place that tempts tourists from all over the world.

Information
Indonesia is the largest island country in the world. Bali, located in the middle of the Indonesian island country, is famous for its many kinds of Gods.

It is said that there are more Gods worshipped in Bali than there are Bali residents. Bali is the sole place where Hinduism prevails over Islam in Indonesia.

Its population reaches 3 million people, and 0.5 million foreign tourists visit Bali every year. In Bali, the so-called “Paradise in the Tropics,” you can meet elegant art works based on Indonesian and Hinduism culture.

It is said that Wari in Sanskrit had been transformed into the current name Bali, so-called “The Island of Gods.” The annual average temperature ranges from 23℃ to30℃, and the season is divided into the rainy season from October to March and the dry season from April to September. During the rainy season, showers once or twice a day make the sky clean and the air cool.

In this beautiful tropical island, located in the middle of the Indonesia archipelago, 8 degrees below the equator, you can encounter these things: rice terraces, volcanoes, thick tropical jungle, wide sand beaches, warm seawater, and waves, and the kind people who preciously keep their own tradition and culture.

Climate

In Bali, the tropical climate continues at an average temperature of 26℃ ~30℃ throughout the year.

The season is largely divided into the dry season from April to September, and the rainy season from October to March.
Generally, the season from May to August is considered a good time to visit because it is cooler and it does not rain much.

Exchange Rate & Money Changer
The monetary unit of Indonesia is rupiah.

It is not easy to directly exchange from Korean won to rupiah, so it is recommended to bring US dollars when you travel to Bali.

In exchanging dollar to rupiah, you need to check whether the dollar is issued after 1997.

Most money exchangers in Bali don’t accept dollars issued before 1997, or when they do, they exchange it at a lower rate. In case the dollar bill has scribblings or creases, it is also only accepted at a low exchange rate.

The higher the denomination bill, the higher the exchange rate will be.

Important Reminders
Never touch another person’s head. Indonesians regard the head as holy, so they use only the right hand in arranging and combing their hair.

Indonesian uses only the right hand to do something holy. They exactly divide the roles of the right and the left hand. In handling something dirty, they use the left hand. In having meals, combing hair, and giving something to another person, they always use the right hand. They use the left hand in washing after using the toilet, cleaning litter boxes, etc.

It is needed not to recommend or ask for having pork or beef meat because there are many people who deny those meats due to the religious reasons.

Don’t put your hand on your waist while talking or conversing. Indonesian misunderstand that you are upset.

Transportation
Taxi cabs are widely available, but the roads are narrow, and there are one-way routes.

Those who visit Indonesia for the first time might have a hard time estimating the distance, so it is recommended to check whether the taxi is installed with a meter system.

In some cases, taxi drivers don’t give change, so it is better to pay the exact or almost exact the amount that appears on the taxi meter.

Shopping
There are so many shops in Bali. In most shops, you can negotiate for lower prices.

When buying something in street stalls, one should always haggle for lower prices because most street stalls initially quote extremely high prices.

Items on sale range from colorful sculptures, woodworks, hand-made textile, pictures, salons, and stone images.

In particular, the elaborate precision of the Bali people’s handicrafts has already elicited worldwide recognition.
